The game is due to be released on October 20, 2009 in North America, October 22, 2009 in Australia and October 23, 2009 in Europe.

- each storyline can feature up to 500 segments of matches and scenarios combined
- create-a-finisher option has also been improved
- new match stipulation for this year's game will be the Championship Scramble match
- new moves will be included, and the game will feature four strong grapples
- feature a revamped HUD, cutting down on on-screen information seen previously
- can now fight on apron, works in all match types
- divas can compete in all match types
